Our chapter will be hosting a "Firefighter Skills for Single Family Dwellings" hands-on training event on May 18, 2013 at the Loudoun Fire Training Academy. We still need some members to assist with conducting this class. We are still in need of a few more adjunct instructors (must be NFPA Instructor I minimum). If you are available to help out (instructor or not) on this date please contact me as soon as you can.
Thanks and be safe,

Hurricane Sandy Relief Trip

Chapter members (and friends) spent hours upon hours sorting out all of the donations we received from the community during the collection at the Nearly Naked Mile. After that, we loaded up a few trucks, rented a trailer, packed them full, and made the trek to help our brothers in New York. Several stops were made along the way, including the Far Rockaway High School, numerous churches, and a short night's sleep at the Island Park Fire Department. After two days on the road, we were able to reach our final destination, the Long Beach Fire Department. Brotherhood...taking care of our own regardless of where we are...that's what it is all about!

Manassas 9/11 Stair Climb TEAM NEEDED!

The Second Annual Manassas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will be held on Sunday, September 16.  Last year’s event brought 115 climbers, and they hope to have an even better turn out this year.  Registration is now open! Go to www.manassasstairclimb.com for more info.

We are looking to get a Northern Virginia Fools Team together and will be discussing the details at our next chapter meeting on SEPTEMBER 6th.

We will are also looking into setting up a table at the event to show our support, sell some of our merchandise, and get the Fool-ish word out to area firefighters. If you don't want to climb, but are willing to volunteer to staff the table, please let us know at the meeting.

This event is hosted by our brothers and sisters at the Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department.
